A few words that begin to describe Joshua or in the art world better known as - ‘the alkymist’ - An artist who thrives on bringing powerful art to life using various mediums whilst travelling the world. These artworks range from - fine oil on canvas, to intricate renaissance tattoos on the human body, all the way to dynamic hyper realistic colour murals on the sides of large buildings.​

His journey began in the artistic city of Melbourne, Australia a decade ago when he found his natural talent creating portraiture and hyper realistic artworks using graphite and charcoal. Being no stranger to the tattoo world he found that he was accepted in this community and advanced at an incredible pace whilst working in world renowned studios, alongside established and talented artists. At the same time he was also stepping into the world of street art. This became an obsession that hasn’t stopped to this day. This is where he found his deepest satisfaction artistically.

Having visited over 40 countries, the alkymist feels that it is essential not to force creativity, instead finding inspiration from the world - by being exposed to different cultures, environments and situations. He believes a positive aspect to his nomadic lifestyle is that he never feels shortage of inspiration or difficulty expressing something he feels passionate about.

The name the alkymist came about as he believes that we as humans are creators and have the power to bring to life what begins in the mind. Therefore, with art, if we can imagine something we can bring it to life with belief and the right approach - And finally because there is the seemingly magical part when he makes it happen so casually in front of your eyes.
